Contrairement à une idée répandue, les fonctionnaires ne sont pas exonérés du respect de leurs obligations déontologiques lorsqu'ils sont confrontés à l'utilisation d'internet. L'administration, sous le contrôle du juge, tens en effet, de plus en plus, à sonctionner tout manquement à de telles règles que ce soit dans le cadre professionnel ou dans celui de la vie privée.
